A New Provincial Engineering Research Center Was Approved to be Established at DUT

Recently, “Liaoning Marine Intelligent System and High End Chip Engineering Research Center”, which is one of the Liaoning Provincial Engineering Research Centers, was approved to be established at DUT.

Liaoning Marine Intelligent System and High End Chip Engineering Research Center is the first engineering research center approved to School of Software Technology, supported by two first-class disciplines of software engineering and electronic science and technology. The center focuses on marine intelligent system and high end chips, covering five aspects: unmanned marine intelligent sensing and operation system, high dynamic range high-definition visual sensing chip and intelligent processing chip, low-power AI chip for edge computing, intelligent detection of multi-dimensional surface underwater entities, and cloud edge integration marine cluster network.

Liaoning ProvincialEngineering Research Center, established with the approval of Liaoning Provincial Development and Reform Commission, is an important part of the innovation system of Liaoning Province. Based on the promotion of regional economic and industrial development, the center aims to cultivate and improve the ability of regional independent innovation through the establishment of engineering research and verification facilities, as well as mechanism conducive to technological innovation and achievement transformation. The center is dedicated to building a bridge between industry and scientific research, researching and developing key common technologies of regional industry, so as to accelerate the transformation of scientific research results into real productivity, and promote the advancement of industrial technology and improvement of core competitiveness.
