DUT high-level theses of science and technology keep ranking high on the list of higher institutions

Sept--27 The press conference on the statistical results of China’s theses of science and technology in 2013 was held at Beijing International Conference Center, which published the statistical results of theses in 2012. A number of indicators of the theses of science and technology collected by DUT in 2012 ranked high on the list of higher institutions in China.

In 2012, the number of documents collected by SCIE from DUT was 1891 and 1875 of them were theses, increasing by 20.5% compared with last year and ranking the 15th among all higher institutions in China. The growth rate of SCI theses in DUT ranked the second among the first 20 higher institutions which were influential in the aspect of theses of science and technology. There were 1880 theses collected by Ei, ranking the 7th .

According to the statistics of SCI, among the theses collected from 2007 to 2011, 2342 of them were cited 8019 times in 2012, ranking the 17th; while among the international theses collected from 2003 to 2012, 9593 of them were cited for 72182 times, ranking the 15th among the higher institutions in China, which was enhanced a little compared with last year.

The Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China also published the rank of China’s ten disciplines in terms of the collection of SCI theses, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy, geology, biology, medicine, agriculture science, material science and environmental science.

The Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China selected 100 theses as the most influential international academic theses according to a few indicators and the thesis “Single-machine scheduling with nonlinear deteriorating” whose corresponding author was Wang Mingzheng, a professor from the School of Management in DUT.
