3rdDecember -- in order to award the advanced groups and individuals and spread their excellent characteristics among all of the university, the award ceremony of 2013-2014 advanced groups and individuals was held in Mountain Hall on the afternoon of 3rdDecember. Leaders of DUT including Wei Xiaopeng, Guo Dongming, Jiang Dexue, Li Chengen, Lu Zhongchang, Ning Guiling, Li Junjie and Qu Jingping attended the ceremony and presented awards to the advanced groups and individuals, together with representatives from Dean’s Office, Graduate School, Student Affair Office, Youth League Committee of DUT and relative departments. The ceremony was hosted by Zhang Yanjun.
President Guo made a speech on the ceremony and extended his sincere congratulations to the advanced groups and individuals for their unselfish contribution. He hope all of us could pay much attention to morality cultivation and to behave according to the following principles:
To love your country;
To delicate yourself to work;
To be a honest person;
To be kind and friendly.
On the ceremony, Li Chengen announced the award list.
There are 281 classes and 11718 individuals awarded in total, among which 130 classes won the “advanced class award”, 11 classes won the “model class of good atmosphere”, 138 classes won the “class of good atmosphere”, and 2 classes won the “progress class of good atmosphere”. Besides, there are 7908 students winning the scholarship of advanced students, 638 winning the national scholarship, 670 winning the national motivational scholarship, and 610 winning the “Qu Bochuan” special scholarship.
