Nov 20 – On November 19, the 20thCongress of Communist Youth League of DUT was held in the lecture hall of Bochuan library. During this congress, a brief summary of work achievements of Communist Youth League of DUT was reported. Also, they clarified its future development direction and elected new committee members of Communist Youth League in DUT. Wei Xiaopeng, Zhao Hong, Li Cheng’en, Li Zhiyi, Qu Jingping, Sun Xiaofeng, Lin Mu and Wang Linlin attended the congress.
All together, there were 194 attendants at the congress and 21 committee members were elected. Lu Kai made a work report.
Wei Xiaopeng, on behalf of DUT, expressed his congratulations to the successful opening of the congress of Communist Youth League and his gratitude to all those who cared about the growth of DUT’s students all the time. He said that Communist Youth League was the reserve force and assistant of Communist Party. We had conducted a great amount of effective activities to cultivate the youth, reached plenty of achievements and got a lot of prizes.
Besides, Wei Xiaopeng said that today DUT’s development had come to a new starting point, which aroused high demands to the youth of DUT. He hoped that Communist Youth League could continue to play its significant role in the construction and development of DUT and could lead all the youngsters to realize their personal values and dedicate themselves to our country.
Zhao Hong pointed out in her speech that in recent years, DUT, under the right leadership of its Communist Party, had played an exemplary role among all universities in Dalian. And she hoped that all the youth of DUT could persist in learning their own specialty well and contributing to our society.
Since the 19thCongress of Communist Youth League of DUT in 2005, they have hosted a lot of activities on sports, technical innovation, social practice, etc. and got a lot of prizes.
