Nov 21 – Recently, Professor Liu Zhijun from Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology, DUT won the Grand Prize of 2014 Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award.
After Through communication voting and live voting two rounds, Grand Prize of Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award was given to eight teachers out of 69 nominees. Liu Zhijun was one of them. Meantime, professor Liu Jinyuan from School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, professor Qi Min from School of Materials Science and Engineering and vice professor Wang Jizhong from Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering won Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award. Besides, Deng Liang, Song Ge, Wang Jue, Yang Jun and Ren Jingqi won Baosteel Excellent Student Award.
Baosteel Education Award is a yearly award established by state-owned enterprise and supported by the government, aiming at excellent teachers and students fromChineseAcademyof Sciences and nearly 100 universities affiliated with Ministry of Education. Since 1993, all together 91 teachers and 244 students from DUT have won Baosteel Education Award, including eight Grand Prize for Excellent Teacher and eight Grand Prize for Excellent Student.
