March 15 -- Comrade Xu Fuqin, former vice president of Dalian University of Technology, member of Communist Party of China, died of illness on January 28, 2015 in Dalian at the age of 81. On the morning of January 31, with mournful dirge the farewell ceremony held in Dalian funeral parlor. Attendees are the member of Dalian Municipal Committee and minister of Organization Department Ma Hui, Wei Xiaopeng, president of Dalian University of Technology Guo Dongming, Jiang Dexue, vice president Lu Zhongchang ,Ning Guiling,Qu Jingping; Vice president of Dalian Institute of Nationalities Zhaozhu, outgoing leaders Jin Tongji, Cheng Gendong,Zhang Caihui,Zhang Wenhan,Zhang Buqun,Zhang Yupu,Xiao Hongyun,Wang Liansheng,Zhang Guoliang, Shen Hongshu; each functional department and institution, key personnel of each department and school; relatives and friends of Comrade Xu Fuqin.
The Ministry of Education, Dalian Nationalities University, Dalian Maritime University, Liaoning Normal University, Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Liaoning University, China Medical University, Shenyang Conservatory of Music, Shenyang University of Chemical Technology; Dalian University of Technology committees, administration, staff and students, Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology of DUT, all sent a message of condolence or presented wreath. Yuan Guiren, Mahui, Wei xiaopeng, Guo Dongming, Jiang Dexue, Jing Tongji, Lin Anxi, Zhang Dexiang, Cheng Gengdong and Xu’s friends sent wreath. In the farewell ceremony, Jiang Dexue introduced the lifetime achievements of Xu Fuqin.
Xu Fuqin was concerned about our university and made contribution on the construction and development of the university even in his illness. He repeatedly asked a simple funeral which represents exemplary conduct and nobility of character of the Communists.
