March 28 -- The Large-scale Spring Job Fair of 2015 is held in Liu Changchun Stadium of DUT. Over 370 employers from industry groups, well-known enterprises, colleges and scientific research institutions attend the fair, offering about ten thousand job requirements.
In the morning, graduates of colleges and universities of Dalian queue in order and get ready for interviews. Well dressed, they enter into the stadium with their carefully-prepared personal resumes. The job fair enjoys a warm atmosphere, where students apply for their favorite jobs and communicate with recruiters on their own initiative. 
Li Cheng’en inspects and instructs on site accompanied by members of Recruitment and Employment Office. He asks about the situation of enterprises’ development and demands for employees, listens to proposals of talent cultivation proposed and highly recommends our graduates to those enterprises. He also talks with some graduates and encourages them to keep faith, seize opportunities, and undertake social responsibilities.
The job fair provides an interactive platform for employers and graduates to exchange information, and helps leaders and teachers in colleges know more about the market requirements. In addition, career instructors of DUT advise graduates to take advantage of job fairs and school recourses.
This year, the employment situation is more complicated and severe with the economic slowdown and industrial restructuring. The record-breaking figure of college graduates peaks at 7.49 million. Our university will take more measures to deal with this situation and carry out comprehensive career guidance for employments.
Our university instructs students’ career guidance in multi-dimensional ways. For example, DUT delivers some career courses such asCollege Student Career ProgrammingandOccupational Guidanceas macro-direction and hold Career Planning Competition、DUT Career Forum for personalized instructions. Recently, DUT has helped graduates who haven’t found their favorite jobs yet to amend their resumes and teach them skills of interview.
This job fair is held by School of Mechanical Engineering. Besides, School Office, Office of Academic Affairs, Alumni Affairs Office, Party Committee Publicity Department, Finance Department, Security Department, Logistics Department, Ministry of Sports and Education, University Hospital and other departments also give strong support to this fair.
