March 29 -- On the evening of March 29th, Beijing Opera Academy brings the new historical drama "Mrs. Anguo" which is adapted creatively by Former Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee Li Ruihuan and directed by the famous Beijing Opera director Gao Mukun. The opera, consisting of around 60 actors including starring Dong Yuanyuan and Tian Lei, shows various characteristics of operas. Prior to the performance, Li Cheng'en makes a special visit to leaders and actors of Beijing Opera Academy and exchanges souvenirs with Li Jinping.
"Mrs. Anguo", the latest creation of historical drama by Beijing Opera Academy, tells the story of heroes in the anti-Jin wars, Southern Song Dynasty's famous ministers, the couple of Han Shizhong and Liang Hongyu. Its free-flowing style of "Wen Chang" and fierceness of "Wu Chang" has delivered a totally new image of Liang Hongyu on the stage.
The amazing performance of "Mrs. Anguo" seems to bring the auditorium to the battlefield of thundering war drums and fluttering flags, which makes the presence of all the audience intoxicated. The opera is so successful that many audiences are reluctant to leave the auditorium long after the end of it.
Launching campus activities of high art is a program held jointly by Ministry of Education, Culture and Finance. With its aim of fully implementing the guiding principles of the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC and educational plan, the special show not only enriches teachers and students' extracurricular life, humanity qualities and literary connotations, but also strengthens their quality-oriented education and understanding of the quintessence of Chinese culture.
