Her parents divorced and her father, with diabetes syndrome, lost the ability to work with others equally. For a long time, under the solicitude of Communist Party and Government of China and care of her family, she was able to grow up healthily, happily and confidently with the opportunity to work hard to continue her studies.

As a member of the school basketball team, she became the student of DUT with the primary athlete of P.R.C. And the past two years had seen her remarkable achievements in basketball: No.8 inthe 15thCUBAleague, No.8 inthe 8th CUBS league, No.1 inthe 15thCUBAleague ofLiaoningand No.8 inthe Foguang Cup International Basketball Tournament.

Sometimes, poverty could give us more experience, make us wake up and offer us more courage to bear the next setback. Yang Yumeng earned her living expenses totaling more than 250,000 Yuan through self-employment and various scholarships, got the strength to face the difficulties in her life and treat them with the same attitude and smiles.

She is filled with gratitude for youth and life. Therefore, practical measures were also taken by her to benefit the society and fulfill her social obligations.
