May 16 -- On May 16th, the seminar of mathematics and technical information of engineering chaired by Dean of School of Mathematical Sciences, Professor Lu Yufeng, is held at the Multifunction Hall of Bochuan Library. Attending the seminar are president of DUT, Academician Guo Dongming, Academician Xu Zongben of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Yuan Yaxiang, Academician of Chinese Academy of Science, Professor Xin Zhouping of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Luo Maokang of Sichuan University, Dean of School of Mathematical Sciences of Peking University, Professor Zhang Pingwen, Chief of Office of Mathematics of Department of Mathematics and Physics of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Professor Lei Tiangang, related members of Graduate School, Faculty of Vehicle Engineering and Mechanics, Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering, Faculty of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, School of Mathematical Sciences and School of Mechanical Engineering.
President Guo Dongming shows his gratitude to the 6 experts and scholars who come to DUT for study and academic exchanges and points out the importance of mathematics in the research of engineering and technical information.
At the seminar, the 6 experts are appointed as members of the expert committee of mathematical discipline construction. At the same time, Professor Lu Yufeng, Professor Dong Guohai, Professor Wang Delun, Professor Zong Zhi, Professor Guo Xu have academic exchanges with each other. After that, the experts have discussions with teachers of DUT.
