September 5-6 -- In order to learn more about freshmen registration works, accompanied by people in charge of University Office, Security Department, University League Committee, Postgraduate School, Student Affairs Department, Affairs Department, Logistics Department, etc, Wei Xiaopeng, Guo Dongming, Song Dan, Ning Guiling, Jia Zhenyuan and Zhu Hong visited freshmen registration working spots and met all working teachers and students as well as 2015 freshmen and their parents from all over the nation.
On the morning of September 5th, Wei Xiaopeng listened to introductions from relevant departments on the preparations they had done for freshmen registration works.
Whenever there came a freshman, the reception spot would applause for him or her. Wei Xiaopeng asked each school and faculty about registration works and encouraged teachers and students to work with passion to leave great impressions on freshmen and their parents.
Wei also visited No.2 dormitory building to see freshmen and their parents. This year, two twin brothers got enrolled into the same dorm. Wei talked with them and hoped they could take DUT as their home.
Wei visited postgraduate registration works as well. He communicated with teachers and students on discipline construction, discipline development and dissertation process. Besides, he encouraged new students to stay creative and innovative to deepen their research and contribute to the development of DUT.
On the morning of September 6th, Guo Dongming visited registration spots in theWestMountain,NorthMountain and international students’ place. He listened to the introduction of new methods taken in this year’s work and spoke highly of that.
To know better about accommodation conditions, Guo visited dorms of undergraduates, postgraduates, doctor candidates and international students. He talked with them and hoped them to help and care each other.
At noon, Guo came to the central canteen and asked about the food prices. During lunch, he talked with freshmen and their parents and thanked them to choose DUT.
