September 29 --Duan Ruichun, secretary of the Selection Committee of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, and Academician Gao Wen, vice director of National Foundation and member of the Selection Committee of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, visit DUT. Song Yongchen, vice president, Luo Zhongxuan, president assistant, Academician Cheng Gengdong, a Laureate of Science and Technology Award from Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, Professor Zhang Shufen and Wang Bo, vice dean of Science and Technology Research Institute also attend the meeting.
President Guo Dongming extends his greetings to all the guests and gratitude to the concerns from Selection Committee of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation all the time. Guo introduces some significant technical achievements in recent years and expresses that DUT attaches great emphasis on Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Award, which will advocate DUT to devote more efforts in its application.
Sectary Duan gives detailed introduction on the mission, awards setting, nomination methods, selection procedure and historical awarding information of the foundation. He hopes DUT will participate more in the nomination works and propose valuable suggestions to the selection works of the foundation. Academician Gao speaks highly of DUT’s academic achievements and believes DUT will win more Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Awards in the future.
During the meeting, Professor Wang Bo presents the general situation of DUT’s academic researches. Following him, Academician Cheng and Professor Zhang make reports on their academic progress and further achievements after they won Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Award.
