On the morning of September 11, the Dalian University of Technology (DUT) and the China Communications Construction Co. Ltd (CCCC) entered into a strategic partnership agreement at the International Conference Centre. The signing ceremony features Zhen Shaohua, deputy general manager of the Company; and leaders from CCCC South China, Science and Technology Department, Investment Division, CCCC First Harbor Engineering Company Ltd, Industry Development Department of the CCCC Urban Investment Holding Co., Ltd. And Academician Guo Dongming, President of DUT and Song Yongchen, Vice President of DUT, along with heads of Institute of Science and Technology, Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the National & Local United Engineering Lab of Bridge and Tunnel Technology, were also present at the ceremony.
Mr. Guo Dongming, President of DUT, welcomed Zhen Shaohua and his delegation and thanked the strong support that the Company has been providing for the university for many years. When commenting on this event, he noted that this strategic partnership agreement will further deepen the cooperative relationship of the two parties over the past years, and marks a new stage of the partnership. It is believed that the partnership of the two parties will have new breakthroughs and a win-win situation as the central government is pushing the innovation-driven development strategy.
Mr. Zhen said that DUT has made a great contribution to the social and economic development of China, and a lot of DUT graduates are now employees of the Company, who are the backbone of the Group.
At the meeting, Mr. Song Yongchen and Mr. Zhen, on behalf of the both parties, have signed a framework agreement of strategic partnership, under which the both parties will, guided and driven by innovation, needs and market conditions and for the purpose of win-win cooperation, strengthen the strategic cooperation mechanism and set up systems for research innovation, commercialization of scientific research results, educational training and talent development. This agreement also laid a solid foundation for the building of the DUT-Shenzhen Research Institute.
