On the afternoon of April 6th, the delegation of Algeria Center Port Project being made up of related officials from the Export-Import Bank of China, China Construction Algeria Co.Ltd and China State Construction Harbor Construction Co.Ltd visited the Dalian University of Technology (DUT). Guo Dongming, President of the DUT, met the delegation in the main building of room 412. The meeting also featured representatives of the Design Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture Dalian University of Technology and Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering Dalian University of Technology.
Mr.Guo welcomed their arrival and introduced DUT‘s history, the discipline superiority, the experimental platform and the national and provincial major projects to the guests. He noted that the school has regarded meeting the needs of national strategic and developmental of regional social economy as its duty since it founded. He also hoped that the cooperation could be enhanced by the visit and the Algeria Center Port Project which is significant to Algeria and other African countries could make contributions to China’s One Belt, One Road project.
Shi Wanli, Li Yan, Deputy Director of the Export-Import Bank of China, Chen Dalin, Domestic General Manager of the China Construction Algeria Co.Ltd., Xu Meikun, Chief Engineer of the China State Construction Harbor Construction Co.Ltd delivered speeches respectively. They expressed that the present scientific work made by Design Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture Dalian University of Technology was fruitful and the Algerian government highly focused on that. This visit was helpful for them to know the university, especially its traditional outstanding disciplines. They believed that both sides would have a bright future and cooperate in more areas relying on DUT’s discipline, scientific research, and intelligence superiority.
Before the meeting, the delegation and related personnel of Design Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture and Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering listened to the school’s opinions and suggestions on the design of the Algeria Center Port.
