On the afternoon of 17th May Guo Dongming, President of DUT met with Geqinokuke, along with his delegation. President of Belarusian Higher Education Institute and signed a cooperative agreement. Both sides decided to put forward cooperation in research, co-holding international research seminar and communication between teachers and students. Professor zhang Dexiang, president of DUT Higher Education Institute, related personnel from office of International Cooperation and Communication and DUT Higher Education Institute accompanied the meet.
Mr. Guo warmly welcomed the visit of Geqinokuke and expressed that DUT has frequently cooperated and communicated with Belarusian government and its universities. This cooperation with Belarusian Higher Education Institute was meaningful that it not only further strengthening past cooperation but also a positive response of Chinese “One Belt One Road” policy. He believed that both sides around “One Belt One Road” strategy did research on higher education must serve for the need of “One Road One Belt” strategy and make more contributions on the study of international higher education.
During the meeting, both sides had some negotiations on co-holding “One Belt One Road Higher Education International Seminar”, “China- Belarus Higher Education Seminar” and founding China- Belarus higher education base.
Before the meeting, Professor Zhang and related personnel from DUT higher education institute had an informal discussion with Geqinokuke, along with his delegation on further cooperation.
