On the morning of 15th December, Wang Hansong, secretary of communist party of DUT, on behalf of DUT students and staff visited Professor Kong Xianjing, a new member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor Peng Xiaojun, a new member of Chinese Academy of Science. Mr. Wang encouraged them to redouble their efforts to make more contributions to the construction of world-class of DUT.
Mr. Wang said that two DUT professors selected as new members of Chinses Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Science respectively inspired all DUT students and teachers. This was not only an approval for their hard working in teaching and researching, but also the honor of their team, subject, department and DUT. Mr. Wang hoped that Professor Kong and Professor Peng can keep playing roles in cultivating talents, doing scientific research and making DUT become world-class university. He also wished that two professors could take responsibilities of “four services” to make newer and greater contributions to the rejuvenation of Chinese nation.
Professor Guo and Professor Peng expressed sincere thanks to DUT for the long time support and cultivation. As Duters who studied and grew up in DUT, two professors said that they would make full effort to have world-advanced results and make greater contributions to the construction of world-class university and DUT reform.
