According to the "over all plans to promote the development of world-class universities and first-class disciplines" enacted by the state council, the "To promote the implementation of world-class universities and first-rate disciplines (interim)" published by the ministry of education, the ministry of finance and the national development and reform commission, the "Notification of the establishment of world-class universities and first-class disciplinary programs" of the ministry of education, and the actual situation of our university's development, we made "Dalian university of technology's first-class university construction program" after detailed discussion. And the program is now being published to society.
The program is formed by six parts including the construction goal, the construction foundation, the construction task, the reform task, the expected effect, the organization guarantee, with the overall goal of making key breakthrough in 2020, integrated promotion in 2030 and overall improvement in 2049. The program could be a programmatic one as it highlights the advantages and characteristics of the school, clarifies the general plan of the subject and the construction task which is centered on talent training and draws the blueprint of the construction of first-class universities.
We have already drawn the blueprint of the development to construct a characteristic first-grade university all over the world in this new era. And in this new journey, we will stay close to the party central committee with President Xi Jinping as its core and let the spirit of the 19th Conference of The National People's Congress be our lighthouse. We will strengthen the characteristics and intension construction of our students to improve their morality and skills to accelerate to be in the first grade and continue to make new contributions to national rejuvenation, prosperity and happiness of the people.
