On the first day of school on March 5th, after the holiday breaks, teachers and students devoted to the work and study of the new semester with a full spirit and solid work style. Leaders of DUT including Secretary Wang Hansong and Principal Guo Dongming entered the classroom and inspected the educating situation of the new semester.
On the morning of March 6th, Secretary Wang Hansong listened to the "Philosophy and Life" course taught by Meng Wei of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the "Management Statistics" course taught by Ye Xin of the Faculty of Management and Economics, “Selected Readings of Ancient Chinese Philosophy” given by Jiang Hanqi from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences taught, and "Planning and Design Basics" given by Wu Xiaodong from School of Architecture and Fine Art. Then Wang communicated with teachers and asked about instructional design and instructional content.
On the morning of March 5th, President Guo Dongming listened to the "Basic Philosophy" course taught by Chen Gaohua, who is from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the "Basic Biology" course taught by Xu Li of Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology, etc. Mr. Guo exchanged ideas with class teachers and students to understand the curriculum. He hoped that everyone would have new goals and new ideas in the new semester.
On the first day of this spring semester, the Academic Affairs Office and the experts of the Education and Research Advisory Group conducted inspections and lectures on all the courses of the DUT. A total of 436 courses and 46 lectures had been examined. According to experts in the education and research group, it is generally reported that in the teaching work on the first day of the new semester, teachers and students are full of spirit and enthusiasm; teachers’ teaching attitude is correct, and preparation is adequate; students are serious in listening and respond positively, reflecting a good style both of studying and teaching throughout the day.
