The Faculty of Management and Economics of DUT became the eighth ACE Certified Business School in the mainland

Recently, the Faculty of Management and Economics of DUT received an EFMD notification from the European Management Development Foundation. After voting by the EQUIS accreditation committee, the Faculty passed the EQUIS accreditation with a certification period of three years.

This certification is another important certification obtained by the Faculty of Management and Economics of DUT after it was accredited by AACSB and CAMEA. Up to now, the Faculty of Management and Economics of DUT has become the only 8 in the mainland region and it is the one that is approved by AACSB, CAMEA and EQUIS at the same time. These mark that the Faculty of Management and Economics of DUT acquires domestic and international recognition.

The Faculty of Management and Economics officially started EQUIS certification in 2015 and has undergone nearly three years of construction and phased assessment. From September 21 to September 14, 2017, the expert team conducted an on-site assessment of the EQUIS certification work of the Faculty of Management and Economics of DUT, which included the development strategy and objectives, teaching programs, student development, faculty resources, academic research, internationalization, financial management, corporate relations and other aspects. At the same time, a detailed review of the certification materials displayed by the faculty was conducted. On March 27, 2018, the EQUIS Certification Committee voted to formally pass the certification.

The Faculty of Management and Economics has always regarded international and domestic certification as an important method and carrier for the development and internationalization of the Faculty. It passed AACSB certification in January 2015, CAMEA certification in June 2016, and EQUIS certification in March 2018. The Faculty has been adhering to the principle of “Building with Evaluation and Promoting Construction”, and has continued to improve and innovate in personnel training, scientific research, and social services. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation announced in 2017, the School of Business Administration and School of Management Science and Engineering gained double A.

Leading adoption of the three major certifications will further promote the internationalization and deepening various undertakings. The Faculty will also use this as an opportunity to accelerate the construction of world-class disciplines and high-level business schools, and continue to explore, continuously improve, and strive for the realization of the vision of “a top-ranking Chinese business school with extensive international influence”.
