A few days ago, the General Office of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee issued the "Circular on Printing and Distributing the Third Batch of “National Special Support Program for High-level Talents （which is also called the Program for Ten Thousand）". A total of 14 people from Dalian University of Technology were selected, including 10 “Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talents”, 1 “Leaders in Philosophy and Social Sciences”, 1 “Prominent Educator” and 2 “Top Youth Talents”. The total number of people selected is ranked 11th in the country.
The ten people who were selected as "Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talents" were Wang Tongmin, He Gaohong, Huang Mingliang, Liang Changhai, Fan Jiangli, Zhao Jijun, Kang Zhan, Sun Yuwen, Li Gang, Duan Chunying, and Su Jingqin was selected as "Leader in Philosophy and Social Sciences". Zhao Tingguo was selected as a "Prominent Educator," and Liu Tao and Zhao Jiafei were selected as “Top Youth Talents."
Up to now, a total of 24 people in DUT have been selected in the Program for Ten Thousand.
The Program for Ten Thousand is a high-level talent support program that covers a wide area, involves many departments, and has a long implementation period. It is jointly launched by 11 ministries and commissions including the Central Organization Department, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Sciences, and is dedicated to the national natural sciences, engineering technology, and special support is given to outstanding talents, leading talents, and top youth talents in the field of philosophy and social sciences. It aims to speed up the development of a number of high-level innovation and entrepreneurial talents that provide strong support for the construction of the Country of Innovators. The Program for Ten Thousand has three levels: outstanding talents, leading talents, and top young talents.
The third batch of National Special Support Program for High-level Talents selected the list of personnel including leading talents and top youth talent two levels of five types of talents, a total of 1635 people, including 720 leading talents in scientific and technological innovation, 367 leading people in science and technology entrepreneurship, 215 leading talents in the field of philosophy and social sciences，195 prominent educator and 138 top youth talents.
