Li Jinke, the Vice Governor of Liaoning Province came to DUT to implement the investigation and research on scientific and technological innovation work together with the Director of Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Department. Mr. Jin Weiguo, the vice mayor of Dalian and the leaders of Municipal General Office and Dalian Bureau of Science and Technology also attended this visit. Mr. Li and his entourage visited the Collaborative Innovation Center of Major Machine Manufacturing in Liaoning and National Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals accompanied by Secretary Wang Hansong and President Guo Dongming.
After a detailed investigation of the situation in laboratory construction, transformation and application of scientific research achievements and university-industry collaboration etc., Mr. Li gave full credit to the results that DUT has achieved and the crucial contributions we made to the local economy of Liaoning. He said that they would support DUT in the construction of first-class university with their full strength so that DUT could make more contributions to the revitalization of the old industrial base in northeast China.
Mr. Wang and Mr. Guo expressed gratitude to the Liaoning provincial government. They promised that DUT would continue its scientific and technological innovation which will face national grand strategic demands. We were committed to serving the national and local economic and social development. It would be our duty to made contribution in the revitalization of the old industrial base in northeast China. To become a first-level university, we would offer our help in Liaoning local economic and social development.
