On April 24th, the President of DUT and academician Guo Dongming met with Professor David Allan, an academician of the American Academy of Engineering and director of the Energy and Environmental Resources Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin, in the main building, room 312. Related persons and teachers from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology accompanied the meeting.
During the conversation, President Guo Dongming and Prof. David Allen reached a preliminary intention to further strengthen scientific research cooperation and personnel training in energy development and atmospheric environmental quality improvement, sustainable energy and environmental management, and environmental system engineering. The two sides stated that they would further deepen cooperation and make more contributions to coping with prevention and control of air pollution in energy development.
After the meeting, Professor David Allen gave an academic report to the teachers and students of School of Environmental Science and Technology and then visited the Panjin campus.
