DUT Party Committee Central Theory Learning Group Specially Studied "The Amendment to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China"
On the afternoon of June 8th, DUT held a party committee theoretical learning center group (enlargement) study meeting in conference room of the main building to study the "Constitution Amendment of the People's Republic of China" (hereinafter referred to as "Constitution Amendment"). Party Secretary Wang Hansong presided over the meeting. Members of the Theory and Study Center of the Party Committee of DUT, heads of various functional departments of the organs, and directly affiliated units, secretaries of the second party organizations, and ministers (deans) of the academic departments (colleges) attend the conference
At the meeting, Associate Professor Chen Guang of the School of Law made a report on the three aspects of the necessity and principles of the constitutional amendment, the analysis of the main points of the "Constitution Amendment," the implementation of the Constitution, and the strict and comprehensive administration of the Party.
Secretary Wang Hansong pointed out at the meeting that the constitutional amendment was a major event in the political life of the party and the country, a major political decision made by the Central Party Committee from the new era to uphold and develop the overall and strategic heights of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and it was also a significant step to promote comprehensive and legal governance. It was believed to be the major measures to promote the modernization of national governance systems and governance capabilities. General Secretary Xi Jinping’ s important speech on the revision of the Constitution indicated the direction for promoting the rule of law and governing the country according to the Constitution.
Secretary Wang Hansong stressed that everyone in DUT should combine studying the “Constitution Amendment” with the spirit of the in-depth study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’ s important speech on the revision of the Constitution, and profoundly understand the important role of the Constitution in the development of the Party and the country’ s undertakings, and earnestly implement the thoughts and actions, following the step of the decision-making deployment of the Central Party Committee. They must firmly grasp the core essentials and spiritual essence of the constitutional amendment. Furthermore, they were supposed to increase learning and propaganda throughout DUT and regard constitutional learning as an important part of the study of the secondary party organizations. Teachers should be organized to study conscientiously, and promote the study of constitutional amendments into the classroom. At the same time, it was stressed to constantly strengthen the school’s teachers and students to learn, observe, and safeguard the constitution in order to guide teachers and students’ s consciousness throughout DUT, making them be loyal, conscious, and defenders of the constitution.
