On the afternoon of May 18th, DUT held a party committee theory learning center group (enlargement) meeting in the center conference room of the main building to study the “Central Inspection Work Plan (2018-2022)” and conveyed the Central Party Committee’s new deployment of inspection work to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education. Party Secretary Wang Hansong presided over the meeting. The school party committee theory learning center group, the functional departments of the organs, the person in charge of the direct affiliation units, the secretary of the second party organization, and the secretary of the discipline inspection committee (the disciplinary inspection committee) attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Li Cheng’en, deputy secretary of the school party committee and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, delivered the symposium by Comrade Zhao Leji in implementing the spirit of the speech at the promotion meeting of the Central Inspection Work Plan (2018-2022) and the spirit of the seminar on Deepening Inspection Reform and Promoting Inspection Work of Colleges directly by the Ministry of Education. Yang Yuxin, deputy secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, director of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, director of the Supervision Department, and director of the inspection work office, interpreted the Central Inspection Work Plan (2018-2022) (hereinafter referred to as the “Planning”).
Secretary Wang Hansong required that everyone should further study and profoundly understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech regarding the comprehensive and strict administration of the party, and continuously enhance his sense of responsibility and mission. It was hoped that everyone would learn from their original principles and study honestly, compare their own construction and team building practices, compare and control each party's strict management of the actual work of the party's work and its style, and inspect the actual work and rectification work to learn how to take responsibilities. The spirit of "ease of gravitating for the occasion" strengthened the sense of responsibility for managing the party's work in a strict manner, and enhanced the sense of mission of building a first-class university in the world.
Secretary Wang Hansong stressed that the spirit of Comrade Zhao Leji’s speech should be carefully studied and the spirit of “Planning” and the meeting of the Ministry of Education should be implemented. In order to achieve "three grasps": First, grasp the core. We must resolutely implement the “two maintenances”, undertake the major political responsibilities of “two maintenances,” and grasp the key issues in the universities in light of the three major issues of “the weakening of the Party’s leadership, the absence of Party construction, and the inability to fully manage the Party in a strict manner”. The second is to grasp the strengths. The task of the last round of inspection and rectification must be implemented and stocked; the Central Party Committee must continue to learn and master the new situation of the party's new requirements for stricter prevention against increments; and master the special situation of DUT and constantly check the new requirements of the Central Government. The third is to grasp the key points. The key is to implement it, and leading cadres at all levels must be fully implemented to meet all the requirements for strict compliance of the party.
