President Guo Dongming held a meeting with the visiting team led by Mr. Wang Weiru, the Vice General Manager of Liaoning Electric Power Company of State Grid in Room 312 of the Main Building on May 22nd.
Mr. Guo expressed his idea that, as the university and the city are growing and developing together, universities should serve local economic and social development, and at the same time, they need the support of various local sectors. Therefore, he hoped that the company could give support to our construction so that we can achieve progress together.
Mr. Wang said that, as a university of top level, Dalian University of Technology was an important force to support the local development of Dalian, they will be sure to support our development to make our campus beautiful and safe.
Further ideas on university internationalization, comprehensive cooperation and joint talent training were exchanged during the meeting.
After the meeting, the visiting group inspected the power supply and distribution facilities and transmission lines around DUT campus.
