DUT held a learning session for all party members in order to implement the spirit of the two sessions (NPC and CPPCC) on the afternoon of April 4th. Held by Mr. Wang Hansong, the session invited members of the theory study group, principal of all functional departments and direct subordinate units and secretaries and deans of faculties and schools.
During the meeting, Mr. Su Jingqin, Dean of Faculty of Management and Economics made his report with the combination of the spirit and his professional knowledge to express his thinking about revitalization of the old industrial base in northeast China and comprehensive reformation of our university.
Mr. Wang Hansong pointed out four basic needs that we must keep in mind while learning the spirit of the two sessions.
First, we should firmly uphold and keep the central position of general secretary Xi Jinping in the whole party and the whole nation as the most crucial political issue. We should stabilize the idea to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment in order to follow the direction of the China Communist Party with Mr. Xi Jinping as its core.
Next, we should have deeply understanding of the historic significance of constitutional amendment. The constitution is the fundamental law of the state. And the National Congress voted unanimously to adopt the constitutional amendment. Every member of the university should keep the right political philosophy in mind, learn the constitution and respect it, and uphold the authority of the CPC. Therefore, we could arm our mind, guide our practice and lead the work of university with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
Then, we should deepen comprehensive reform of our university with the lead of the reform of Party and state institutions. We should realize that, it is an inevitable need of our country to deepen the reform of our Party and state institutions. And the "it" refers to strengthening the party's overall leadership, building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, promoting the solution of the main contradictions in our society and deepening reform comprehensively. As 2018 is a year of reformation for our university, we would also renew the comprehensive reform plan. The university leaders should work together to find out a reasonable plan to develop our university.
Last, we should spend more effort on understanding the spirit of our general secretary Xi Jinping's words. As more new explanation, conclusion and requirement were express during the two sessions, we need to think them over together with the spirit of the 19th National Congress. Therefore, more efforts should be spend in learning the spirit and in practicing in order to be the main force in the construction of building our university into a first-class one.
