On the morning of June 5th, Mr. Xiao Shengfeng, the Director of the standing committee of the municipal people's congress, paid his visit to our university, meet Mr. Wang Liding, Mr. Peng Xiaojun, both of whom are the Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and also met with the experts he contacted with before and made their investigation and survey. Accompanied with them were Mr. Wang Hansong, Mr. Bi Mingshu and Mr. Jiang Jianguo.
The first stop of their visit was State Key laboratory of Fine Chemicals and Precision and Special Processing Ministry of Education Key Laboratory. Mr. Wang Liding gave them an introduction on their research and development. Mr. Peng Xiaojun gave his ideas on transformation of innovation results, talent introduction and training and the role of NPC deputies. Mr. Xiao listened to their ideas carefully and expressed his appreciation to our devotion of the development of economy in Dalian.
During his visit, Mr. Xiao expressed that we should learn from the spirit of President Xi Jinping and set clear goal on how to develop ourselves into a strong country. The two experts are the treasure of Dalian. He hoped that all experts will devote themselves to technological innovation and development and make greater contributions to economic and social development. It is hoped that members of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress will base their posts on their own posts, keep close contact with the deputies and the masses of the people, listen and reflect the views and voices of the grass-roots people, and give full play to the role of bridges and bonds. Also, it is hoped that Dalian University of Technology will provide support and protection for experts in scientific research and provide convenient conditions for members of the Standing Committee to perform their duties according to the law.
