On the morning of July 9, Prof. Fan Weicheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Dean of the Institute of Public Safety of Tsinghua University, was invited to come to give lectures on the topic of “Exploration and Practice of Public Safety Technology”.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on issues such as the national public security development strategy and the construction of safety science and engineering disciplines. Principle Guo Dongming expressed his welcome and gratitude to Academician Fan Weicheng for his lectures and hoped that Mr. Fan would provide valuable opinions for the construction of the safety science and engineering disciplines of the workers, and continue to support and pay attention to the development of large industries.
After the talks, Academician Fan Weicheng made a report which focused on the background, ideas, framework and process of public safety technology development; the theoretical model of the public safety system; the public security technology tree; the key tasks and progress of special and major research projects.
