On the morning of September 10th, He Qing, the Director of the Liaoning Provincial Industry and Informatization Committee visited Guo Dongming, the president of DUT and the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and conducted a research discussion on industrial development in Liaoning Province. Vice president Song Yongchen, and relevant members from the Science and Technology Research Institute, the Technology Research and Development Institute, the National Defense Science and Technology Research Institute, Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology, Faculty of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, and School of Mechanical Engineering attended the meeting.
Mr. He said that the establishment of the system that leading cadres make connections with experts was an important measure for the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government to improve the talent work. He hoped to understand the needs of experts, listen to their opinions, and support their works through this visit. After reporting on the overall situation of industrial development in Liaoning Province, He Qing said that technological innovation was the key to the revitalization and development of Liaoning. He hoped that experts and scholars of DUT would make suggestions for Liaoning industrial development, accelerate the transformation of scientific research achievements in Liaoning, and make greater efforts for Liaoning's revitalization and development.
President Guo Dongming expressed his gratitude to the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government for their care and support over the years. It was hoped that the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government would be oriented to the needs and strengthen cooperation with DUT. DUT would give full play to the advantages of talents, technology and intelligence and contribute to the revitalization of Liaoning. At present, DUT is making efforts to improve the construction of first-class universities, and Mr. Guo hoped that the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government would give more support to the DUT.
After the symposium, Director He Qing and his team visited the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals and the Collaborative Innovation Center of Major Machine Manufacturing in Liaoning.
