From September 28th to 29th, Mr. Wang Hansong, secretary of the Party Committee of the university, and Mr. Song Yongchen, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, led a team to Xinjiang to participate in the 2018 annual meeting of the Xinjiang-DUT School-Enterprise Cooperation Committee, and discussed with the Science and Technology Department of the Autonomous Region and the Ganquanbao Economic Development Zone in Urumqi to promote deep cooperation with Xinjiang.

Secretary Wang Hansong, and Director Weili·Balati, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, presented the meeting and delivered their speech.
Mr. Wang pointed out that, as the core of the Silk Road Economic Belt, Xinjiang played an irreplaceable role in the Belt and Road initiative. Dalian University of Technology has continuously improved its political position, always maintained a high degree of consistency with the Party Central Committee and adhered to the "two firmly grasps" to deepened all-round cooperation with Xinjiang, especially in the areas of talent assistance and science and technology aid. And in the next step, our university would input more resources to strengthen the cooperation with XInjiang, take a further participation in the construction of the Belt and Road initiative. All our efforts are made in order to train a group of good technical and management talents that can be retained, and transform a number of major achievements to promote the transformation and upgrading of Xinjiang's industries, and make more and greater contributions to Xinjiang's long-term stability , unity and stability.
According to Director Weili·Balati, since both sides signed the agreement, the effective and solid cooperation with all respects had promoted the economic development of Xinjiang Autonomous Region. The autonomous region will continue to carry out in-depth cooperation with Dalian University of Technology and support enterprises and universities to carry out more in-depth cooperation in production, education and research. He hoped that more investigation and research could be done in the autonomous region in order to solve the problems of the enterprises and transform the talents and technological advantages of colleges and universities into the fruits of promoting the development of enterprises in the autonomous region. Therefore, all enterprises could take the initiative to connect with various expert teams, carry out consultation, service and project cooperation, mutual benefit and common development, and make new contributions to Xinjiang's economic development.
In order to promote the development of fine chemical industry in Ganquanbao economic development zone and Xinjiang and of the green construction, two research bases were unveiled at the conference: the Xinjiang branch of the Joint-built State Key laboratory of Fine Chemicals and CO2 Comprehensive Utilization Industrial Technology Research Institute of Dalian University of Technology. And they were unveiled by Mr. Xiong Xiaoli, Mr. Peng Xiaojun and Mr. Song Yongchen.
