On the afternoon of October 17, President Guo Dongming met with Zhang Hong, the director of the Military Medical Research Institute of the Academy of Military Sciences, in the VIP room of the International Conference Center. The relevant leaders of Faculty of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering and the Institute of Science and Technology attended the meeting.
DUT and the Military Medical Research Institute have cooperated in the national key research and development project “Construction of Precision Medicine Knowledge Base for Disease Research”. Professor Lin Hongfei, from the Faculty of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, and his team were responsible for the construction of the precise medical text knowledge network in the project. During the meeting, President Guo Dongming and Director Zhang Hong discussed the further cooperation. The two sides stated that they would further combine the advantages of both sides, achieve strong alliances, face the country's major needs and technological frontiers, build an innovative and sustainable cooperation model, and promote substantive progress in the cooperation.
After the meeting, Zhang Hong and his team conducted a survey on the related issues of the biotechnology and artificial intelligence technology.
