On the afternoon of October 22, President Guo Dongming met with Bloom, the President of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and his team in Room 312 of the main building. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two universities and enhancing Sino-US friendship through educational cooperation. The relevant people in charge of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Faculty of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, the National Institute of Model Software, and the International Information and Software College of Dalian University of Technology- Ritsumeikan University attended the meeting.
President Guo Dongming briefly introduced the situation of DUT in terms of discipline development and scientific research. He hoped that President Bloom would have a deeper understanding of Dalian University of Technology and strengthen inter-school cooperation in education and scientific research through this visit, in order to deepen the friendship and promote the development of both sides.
President Bloom agreed with Mr. Guo's ideas of scientific cooperation and promotion of talent cultivation. He expected that both sides would deepen exchanges and cooperation, and improve the cultivation of high-level comprehensive talents in China and the United States.
President Bloom visited the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Laboratory of Faculty of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering and the Development Zone campus, and finally had a symposium with computer science teachers.
