On October 21st, He Min, Deputy Mayor of Luoyang, visited DUT. Principle Guo Dongming met with the guests in Room 312 of the main building. The two sides held talks on strengthening scientific and technological cooperation and building a school-site cooperation platform. Relevant persons in charge of Science and Technology Research, Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Research Institute, and Department of Engineering Mechanics accompanied the meeting.
Principle Guo Dongming welcomed He Min’ s visit and said that Luoyang’ s industrial base was strong and the cooperation between the two sides was promising. DUT would focus on the industrial development needs of Luoyang City, give full play to the advantages of science and technology and talents, build a scientific and technological cooperation platform in the local area, guide the transfer of scientific research results in Luoyang City, and help Luoyang City to innovate and develop.
Deputy Mayor He Min said that Luoyang City attached great importance to scientific and technological cooperation with universities. Many strong disciplines of DUT have a high degree of fitting with the industrial development needs of Luoyang City. It was hoped that both sides would accelerate the work related to the joint construction of DUT and research institutes, and continue to explore new areas of cooperation to achieve mutual benefit and achieve common development.
During the visit, Deputy Mayor He Min also visited the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals, State Key Laboratory of Industrial Equipment and Structural Analysis, and Key Laboratory of Precision and Special Processing Ministry of Education, for the sake of the field trips to the cooperation areas and projects.
