On the afternoon of November 12th, Wei Yingbiao, Chairman of the board and Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Jiang Liping, the first-level professional chief engineer of China Commercial Aircraft Corporation (COMAC) and director of the National Commercial Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering Technology Research Center, came to DUT to attend the symposium, implementing the strategic cooperation framework agreement signed in October between DUT and COMAC and promoting the R&D cooperation between the two parties in the field of commercial aircraft manufacturing. DUT President Guo Dongming , Vice President Jia Zhenyuan, and relevant leaders and experts from Institute of Science and Technology, Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology, School of Mechanical Engineering, and Faculty of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering attended the symposium.
After listening to the report on the revolutionary technology of large aircraft manufacturing by COMAC, President Guo Dongming said that carrying out technical research on the core technologies of commercial aircraft to support the national large aircraft industry was an important measure for DUT to meet national strategic needs. It was hoped that COMAC would clearify the needs, closely contact with the experts, professors and research teams of Dalian University of Technology, and deepen the cooperation on key core technology research and development in order to gradually solve the main problems.
Wei Yingbiao first introduced the overall situation, development status and development strategy of COMAC. Then he said that the manufacturing level of large aircraft was a comprehensive manifestation of the equipment manufacturing capacity. China needed to form independent research and production capabilities to become a manufacturing power. Dalian University of Technology had strong scientific and research strength and had made great contributions to the development of science and technology in China. It was hoped that DUT would provide more support for the independent innovation of COMAC and help the rapid development of China's large aircraft industry.
At the symposium, the two sides held discussions on issues such as the cooperation plan for academician workstations, the research on the localization of chemical auxiliary materials, and the construction of joint laboratories, and finally reached a preliminary consensus. The participating experts conducted research and reports exchanges. Before the symposium, Wei Yingbiao and his team visited State Key laboratory of Fine Chemicals, the Collaborative Innovation Center of Major Machine Manufacturing in Liaoning and State Key Laboratory of Structural Analysis for Industrial Equipment.
