On November 19th, the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education announced the project proposal for the key project of the philosophy and social science research of the Ministry of Education in 2018. “Xi Jinping’s New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics Entering the Textbook into the Classroom of Students”, in which Professor Wang Hansong, secretary of the Party Committee of our university, served as the chief expert, was approved (Project Approval No.: 18JZD002), marking the research on the Chinese society in the new era of Xi Jinping gradually deepened, and further promotion of the right to speak in the field of Marxist theoretical research, which is of great significance to comprehensively promoting the construction of key Marxist colleges in our university and promoting the construction of Marxist theoretical disciplines.
The research of this major project has important theoretical and practical value. This project is related to the cultivation of socialist builders and successors with Chinese characteristics, which affects the long-term development of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is the most important thing in the current education of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities. Since the Ministry of Education has issued a tender notice for major projects, the schools and faculties have organized a project team together, carefully designed and repeated discussions to determine the framework of the research from the theoretical analysis, the status analysis, the practical path, and the mechanism guarantee. Four sub-subject working groups were set up to prepare the application materials.
The project, which was approved by the Ministry of Education for major issues in philosophy and social science research, is also an important achievement in the scientific research work of the university. The major project of philosophy and social science research of the Ministry of Education is the highest-level project juxtaposed with major projects of the National Social Science Fund. It has the characteristics of high level, strong authority, wide influence range and fierce competition. We have always adhered to the major projects as the basis to promote the development of scientific research teams, and attaches great importance to the Ministry of Education's philosophical and social science research major project research plan, focusing on key construction disciplines, strong and distinctive teams and high level Professors, actively mobilized to write major project topics, coordinate the organization of the declaration and demonstration meeting, and at the same time strengthen communication within and outside the university to promote the continuous development in major projects of philosophy and social science research.
