On the afternoon of November 16th, the unveiled ceremony of Chambroad-DUT Industrial Technology Joint Research Institute was held in Room 502 of the Main Building. Attending the ceremony were President Guo Dongming, Vice President Yao Shan, Ma Yunsheng, Chairman of the Board of Shandong Chambroad Holding Co., Ltd, President Wang Junhua and Luan Bo, the president and general manager of Chambroad Petrochemicals Co., Ltd. Accompanied them were relevant from Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology, Institute of Science and Technology, Graduate School, and Alumni Office. The ceremony was held with Mr. Guo Xinwen, the deputy dean of Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology, as the host.
Mr. Guo Dongming and Mr. Ma Yunsheng unveiled the Chambroad-DUT Industrial Technology Joint Research Institute together. In March, both sides have signed the agreement in establishing the institute and managed to do it in seven months.
Mr. Yao Shan and Mr. Wang Junhua signed a research institute start-up fund donation agreement and a postgraduate scholarship donation agreement, and respectively read the research appointment documents on behalf of both parties, which marked the Chambroad-DUT Industrial Technology Joint Research Institute is officially put into operation. In accordance with the provisions of the Institute's start-up fund donation agreement, the Institute's start-up fund donated RMB 12 million to Jingbo Holdings to the Dalian University of Technology Education Development Foundation for chemical and materials science development projects. In accordance with the provisions of the Graduate Scholarship Donation Agreement, a scholarship program entitled by Chambroad would also be established in our university. Chambroad Holdings has donated RMB 300,000 to Dalian University of Technology Education Development Foundation for three consecutive years since 2018, which is used to reward outstanding graduate students who have received the honorary title of “Academic Star” of Dalian University of Technology.
In his speech, President Guo Dongming said that the establishment of the institute is the fruit of the close cooperation between the two sides over the years and is also a good platform for promoting long-term cooperation. Since there's unity between their corporation culture and our educating mission on students' morality, President Guo hoped that the two sides would cooperate wholeheartedly and work together to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation.
Chairman Ma Yunsheng expressed the hope that the establishment of the institute will create a win-win and even multi-beneficial community for the strategic cooperation between the two sides, build a diversified and all-round innovative business platform, and cultivate high-quality, high-skilled and practical talents, so as to produce high-end technology products with more brand influence, set off the banner of the transformation of old and new kinetic energy and make greater contributions to serving the national economy and social development.
At the meeting, the representatives of the cooperation projects signed the first cooperation project of the Chambroad-DUT Industrial Technology Joint Research Institute, and took the first step of the project cooperation of the joint research institute. President Guo Dongming and Chairman Ma Yunsheng issued letters of appointment for members of the Research Management Committee. Mr. Luan Bo was appointed as the director of the research management committee of the institute. Vice President Yao Shan and President Wang Junhua issued letters of appointment for members of the Technical Committee of the Institute. Vice Minister Guo Xinwen was appointed as the director of the technical committee of the institute. The institute also appointed Chairman Ma Yunsheng as the chief strategic scientist of the institute.
The visiting group also walked around the State Key laboratory of Fine Chemicals, the Laboratory of Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology, the Collaborative Innovation Center of Major Machine Manufacturing in Liaoning, and State Key Laboratory of Structural Analysis for Industrial Equipment and listened to the report of the cooperation work.
