Lu Ke, vice governor of Liaoning Province visited DUT to research on science and technology innovation work on 19, November. Wen Xueqiong, deputy mayor of Dalian, and heads of the Municipal Government Office and Science and Technology Bureau also participated in the research. Accompanied by leaders of DUT Wang Hansong,Guo Dongming,Jia Zhenyuan and Song Yongchen, they visited the Liaoning Major Equipment Manufacturing Collaborative Innovation Center and the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals.
After learning details about the laboratory construction, major scientific and technological research, the transformation and application of scientific research achievements, and the cooperation of industry, university and research institutes, Vice Governor Lu Ke fully affirmed the scientific and technological innovation work of our school and said that Liaoning Provincial Government would fully support the top-ranking university construction of DUT.
Secretary Wang Hansong and President Guo Dongming expressed appreciation to Liaoning Provincial Government for their strong support to the school. They said that DUT always focused on the frontier of international science and technology, and conducted innovation to meet major strategic needs of the country and improve the national economy. We were committed to serving the national and local economic and social development. And the school would take the opportunity of first-class university construction and made more contributions to the country's major development strategy, the revitalization strategy of the old industrial base in Northeast China, and the local economic and social development in Liaoning.
