Zhu Hong, the member of the Standing Committee of the School Party Committee and also Vice president of DUT, made a report on the undergraduate education work. She said that in order to better implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and the spirit of the National Undergraduate Education Work Conference of the New Era, it was necessary to improve the undergraduate education work and the quality of school talent cultivation. Therefore, the school party committee decided to hold the 16th undergraduate education teaching seminar with the theme of “Deepening teaching reform and building first-class undergraduate” in 2019. With the aim of accelerating the construction of high-level undergraduate education and comprehensively improving the talent cultivation ability, it was expected to focus on the first-class curriculum reform, ideological and political education, teaching abilities, teaching information construction, new mechanism for collaborative education and quality culture construction. The meeting discussed and made the work plan of the 16th undergraduate education teaching seminar, and passed the "Suggestions on Dalian University of Technology on the implementation of the undergraduate talents international training system and training program" "The phased rectification report on Dalian University of Technology on the undergraduate teaching review and evaluation work ".
Secretary Wang Hansong stressed that we should uphold the Party's educational policy, implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and the National Undergraduate Education Work Conference of the New Era, focus on the fundamental tasks of virtue development and the overall goal of talent cultivation, and take the advantage of the opportunity of "three full education" pilot universities to accelerate the construction of a higher-level talent cultivation system. We would further arrange the work beneficial to virtue development, teaching improvement and talent cultivation.
