A Large-Scale Spring Job Fair Held in DUT for Graduates of 2019.

The coming of spring brings us good weather.

 

At 8 o'clock on March 23, Liu Changchun Stadium was crowded with people. There were 526 companies with more than 10,000 positions participating in the spring large-scale job fair in Dalian University of Technology for graduates of 2019. Song Dan, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee and Vice Principal, attended the meeting and guided the employment work.

 

Song Dan talked with those who were in charge of these companies’ employment to know more about their development and the needs of the talents. Then they listened to the suggestions given on the cultivation of talents of DUT. Song also enquired the situation of graduates from faculties and schools, and encouraged everyone to attach great importance to employment, doing everything possible to help students grow into talents.

 

Judging from the participation situation, the needs of “Yangtze River Economic Belt”, “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development”, “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau District”, “Northeast Revitalization” and other national strategic key areas accounted for 80%; and needs of aviation industry, aerospace technology, aviation and electronics Central enterprises such as China Shipbuilding, China Nuclear, and FAW, the world's top 500, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, universities and other key units accounted for 50%; and other needs of Liaoning Province's well-known enterprises accounted for 30%. DUT has accelerated the construction of “first-class universities”, focusing on the country's major development strategies and key industry sectors to expand the graduate employment market, and has achieved remarkable results in actively serving the country's construction and regional development.

 

 

In the report of the 19th National Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that employment was the biggest livelihood. DUT has adhered to two "intensely grasping" and actively implemented the "Talents Guiding Program" for employment, leading the graduates to inherit the ‘red gene’ of the DUT , and assumed the mission of strengthening the country. When graduates decided which job to take, they were expected to pay more attention to factors, such as their responsibilities and future development. The number of employed people in the national defense military units, industry leaders, and selected students has increased significantly.

 

Through “one-stop employment” management and “employment at the fingertips”, DUT has created “Internet Plus” smart employment and improved quality and efficiency for various recruitment activities.

 

It was understood that the number of country's college graduates in 2019 reached 8.34 million, while the domestic economy was facing downward pressure, and the employment situation was more complicated and changeable. In order to achieve higher quality employment for graduates, DUT would adhere to the employment priority and active employment policy, and actively create a good atmosphere for all employees to promote employment. For these graduates, DUT has held 1,256 recruitment activities and received more than 3,500 companies to hold fair in the school, a year-on-year increase of more than 30%. And the graduate employment situation was better than the same period of last year.

 

The conference was also set up in Panjin Campus. There were 69 units including China Construction Seventh Bureau, Harbin Electric Group and Bengang Group entering the Panjin Campus to recruit graduates on the afternoon of the 22nd.
