Assistant President LUO Zhongxuan Led a Delegation Visited Japan

Invited by Tokushima University and Waseda University, the organizer of the 11th Sino-Japan University Presidents Forum, Assistant President LUO Zhongxuan, the University leader in charge of Internationalization, led a delegation visited Japan. They attended the Commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Tokushima Universityand the 11th Sino-Japan University Presidents Forum.

 

In recent years, DUT and Tokushima University have achieved fruitful results in international exchanges and cooperation, especially in the field of information.The two sides have maintained a long-term cooperative relationship of joint talent training and academic exchange.

The 11th Sino-Japan University Presidents Forum focused on the theme of “Connecting the Present and the Future |Opening a Door for NewCooperation”. Representatives from 19 Japanese universities including the University of Tokyoand 19 Chinese universities including Peking University, Dalian University of Technology, etc., 6 government organizations and academic institutions, including the Chinese Embassy in Japan, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, and the Japan Student Association, participated in it.

During the forum, Luo Zhongxuan held individual talks with representatives from Osaka University, Nagoya University, and Ritsumeikan University, and had fruitful discussion in terms of student and faculty mobility, and cooperation of scientific research.

This visit further strengthened the cooperative relationship between DUT and Japanese universities, and enhanced DUT’s international reputation in the field of higher education, which built up strength for the continuous and steady promotion of “Schoolfellow Friendship” Initiative.
