DUT Ph.D. Student Won the Best Poster Presentation in EAPETEA-7

The 7th East Asia Joint Symposium on Plasma and Electrostatics Technologies for Environmental ApplicationsEAPETEA-7was held in Okinawa, Japan. Yuan Hao, Ph.D. student from Prof. Wang Wenchun’s research group of School of Physics, won the “Best Poster Presentation” as the only Chinese winner.

The title of the poster is “A Pulsed Electronic Method Discharge Used for Metal Element Analysis by Atomic Emission Spectrometry”. This method employs the interaction of metal cations at the interface between plasma and gas-liquid radiating the characteristic spectrum of heavy metals, to accurately detect the trace of heavy metals in liquid. The method is characterized by simple operation, low equipment cost and high detection sensitivity. It has important reference value for real-time detection and comprehensive treatment of heavy metals in atmosphere, soil and water.

FYI:

EAPETEA is one of the most authoritative conferences in the field of plasma in East Asia, which covers plasma diagnosis, plasma biology, plasma medicine and plasma environment.
