“Eye of the City” (pic 1, 2) by Wang Junping (DUT student), won the first prize in the photography competition of the 4th “National College Student Network Culture Festival”. It’s reported that more than twenty thousand works have participated in the nationwide competition. DUT has 9 more works awarded.
Dalian, known as the city with the largest number of squares in Asia, has more than one hundred squares with different sizes and shapes, including Zhongshan Square (pic. 1),Youhao Square (pic. 2) and the largest Xinghai Square. The squares serve as places where local people congregate and socialize, as well as transportation hubs.
