In order to develop an atmosphere of family-institute cooperation in educating, Leicester International Institute, Dalian University of Technology (DLI) held an online Parent-Teacher Meeting for 2020 DUTers recently. Zhan Jingjing, the Dean of DLI Chinese side, and Pan Jingzhe, the Dean of DLI British side, attended the meeting. Some of the DLI professors, counsellors and 280 freshmen’s parents participated in the meeting.
Zhan Jingjing extended a warm welcome to all the freshmen. He introduced the general information of the institute, as well as the unique teaching characteristics and management system of Sino-Britsh integration. Besides, he gave a detailed explanation on the teaching arrangement of the English curriculum, which is of common concern to parents. He said that both DLI and the University of Leicester (UoL) have done a lot of effective work to overcome the impact of the epidemic on education, and both sides will continue to work together to ensure the smooth implementation of the teaching program of 2020 freshmen.
On behalf of the British management team, Pan Jingzhe extended his sincere congratulations to the parents of the freshmen. He introduced the UoL's profound heritage and academic advantages, and shared his understanding of the differences and advantages of Sino-British education with the parents.
