On March 8, School of Economics and Management received an official notification from European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) that it has successfully passed the EQUIS recertification. This is another milestone achievement of the School in international accreditation after the reaccreditation of AACSB in January 2021.

Under the influence of COVID-19, a group of experts conducted an online visit and evaluation of School of Economics and Management, including Professor Michael Frenkel, former Dean of WHU-Otto Bessen School of Management in Germany, Anton van Rossum, former CEO of Fortis Investment, a Dutch-Belgian financial services company, Professor Zhou Lin, Dean of CUHK Business School, and Professor Martin Schader, Senior Advisor of EFMD. The expert group affirmed the School's unremitting efforts over the past three years. At the same time, they put forward valuable opinions and suggestions for the future development of the School.

EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) is an international accreditation system initiated and operated by EFMD to evaluate the quality of higher educational institutions in the form of accreditation and to promote educational progress. EQUIS is the most stringent quality certification system in Europe, implemented in 1997. It is known for its comprehensive and rigorous accreditation, and is one of the most authoritative accreditation systems in the world.
