The International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing (IJEM), with Academician Guo Dongming as the domestic editor-in-chief, has been recently accepted for indexing in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and will receive its first Impact Factor in June 2022.
IJEM is an international journal jointly sponsored by Institute of Machinery Manufacturing Technology, China Academy of Engineering Physics and Dalian University of Technology (DUT). It has been included in more than 10 internationally renowned databases such as EI, Scopus, CAS, Inspec, ProQuest, DOAJ, SCIE, etc., and has been selected as T2 level in the Graded Catalogue of High Quality Scientific and Technical Journals in Mechanical Engineering.
The journal was launched in May 2019 and is distributed worldwide by Institute of Physics Publishing (IOP), U.K. In October 2021, the editorial office of IJEM was established at DUT. The journal is devoted to publishing high-quality, up-to-date research results in fields related to extreme manufacturing, with articles mainly in the form of original and review articles. It currently has five major sections, which are material interactions with energy beams and fields, approaches and theories of processing, metrology and characterization, equipment and systems, and extreme conditions.
