Recently, the 7th World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC) was held in Beijing. United Nations Secretary-General Guterres made the speech for the Convention. Leaders, ambassadors, counselors, experts, academicians, enterprises, and representatives of media from more than 100 countries and regions attended the Convention online and offline. Nearly thirty-three million people watched the live stream. The “Intelligent Underwater Optical Communication System” project of DUT School of Software won the 2022 World IoT Innovation Project Award, becoming the only award-winning project of domestic universities.
