Professor Guo Dongming is currently President of Dalian University of Technology and was elected as academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2011.
Professor Guo has been engaged in precision manufacturing technology, high-performance equipment parts, ultra-precision processing and measurement of semiconductor and optoelectronic wafers, digital manufacturing, etc. He is behind some of the key technologies and core process equipment for manufacturing typical high-performance parts for major industrial and engineering needs, and is head of the expert panel of "Transformative Technologies" Key Special Project, and the principal scientist of the "Challenge Program” Extreme Manufacturing Project.
